Adam Edwards

CEO & Partner

I’ve spent the past 24 years caring about my clients, and helping them to find solutions to their day to day legal problems. It has always been and remains about good and strong relationships.

A corporate and commercial partner for over 18 years in two City law firms, I have spent the past 12 months as the General Counsel of the Nano Foundation, gaining insight not only into the world of cryptocurrency and the future of the fastest and most efficient digital money, but also the trials and tribulations of a dynamic business from the inside. That insight has led me to form Mercuræ - lawyers and clients need better drafting, document and process management tools, as well as lawyers who appreciate what the business client needs. Some of these tools are available today, some we will develop. But the goal is to re-think the delivery of legal services to business, with the aim of our providing outsourced legal services as if we were part of your in-house team.

I have and continue to act for a wide variety of clients in many business sectors, who have English law corporate and commercial requirements. They have ranged from PLCs to sole traders; financial service LLPs to fintech startups; property developers to sports governing bodies; other NGOs to charities.

I have a background and interest in technology, computers and the laws which governs their use, as well as broader commercial law, mergers and acquisitions and all forms of business governance and structuring.

As a trusted adviser, my clients pick up the telephone and together we find the right answer for their business.

I am Chairman of Lawyers Cooperation, a group of European business law firms, enabling Mercuræ to connect you directly with expert legal advise across the continent.
